Number of temper tantrums Jack threw before 9:30am yesterday: 3
Number of different locations temper tantrums were thrown throughout the day yesterday: 6 (in the house), 1 (front yard), 1 (park), 2 (car-seat), 4 (highchair – breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner)
Number of times I considered offering to give Jack to a neighbor yesterday: 475
Number of hugs received from the Jackster yesterday: 475 (The reason I did not offer Jack to the neighbors. His hugs are great. Seriously. Oh, by the way, have I ever told you all that every time I type seriously, I accidentally type it wrong – seriuously.)
Number of times I said, “This is bad. Really bad,” last night during Private Practice: Too many to count. Seriously, what a disappointment. And why am I surprised? Do spin-offs ever work?
Number of failed spin-offs I can think of off the top of my head: Ok, I could only think of two… Joey, and that really bad one back in the day from Growing Pains about the big family (what the heck was that called). I know there’s a lot more.
Number of measurements collected (from my body) at sewing class last night: 16
Number of times I will ever again measure the circumference of my thigh: 0 (I do not care. I do not need to know this measurement ever again. Seriously.)
Number of phone calls received this morning before 11am: 4 (This is big people… some days the phone does not ring. Because I am not a phone person. Not because I am a loser… well, at least I don’t think I am.)
Number on the thermometer: 85.5 (This is getting old. But hey, it’s better than yesterday. And there’s been no temper tantrums – well, only two – to add to the heat.)
Number of hours left in the day until Grey’s (WOO HOO): 7.75 (Actually it’s 8.75, because we’ll be watching The Office at 9 and the DVR’d Grey’s at 10… we have a plan. Don’t worry.)
We are definitely starting the temper tantrums around here now. At this point they usually revolve around meal time and the throwing of food not only on the floor, but now at me too.
I tried to watch Private Practice, so dissapointing, not even worth a second viewing in my opinion. I am so excited for The Office tonight, I have been counting down for months now.
I can’t decide if I’ll stick with Grey’s this season. I’ll dvr it tonight so I have some time to make my decision.
1. Totally agree that Private Practice was lame. I could care less about the characters and it was so cheesy.
2. I am SO EXCITED about the Office and sort of excited about Grey’s. Fire up!!!
3. Sorry Jack was a tantrum-throwing whack job yesterday….the hugs really help, don’t they? They all have days like this I guess…
4. I also hate when my phone rings…I always feel like it’s one more thing I have to manage. Lame….
So. Excited. About. The. Office.
I haven’t watched Private Practice yet, but I heard it was no good. And I kind of feared that, as well. You’re right, spin-offs rarely work. Unless you’re Frasier.
Morgan feels the need to pitch a fit often. Can’t say I’m enjoying this phase.
Um, so yeah….we’ve SEEN pics of you. I highly doubt the thigh measurement was much above 2. You’re tiny. Little tiny.
I always watch my shows off DVR. I can’t stand commericals anymore :)
I think I am going to have a DVR’d show bonanza tonight (Friday – is that really lame to watch TV with hubby on Friday night?). Office, Grey’s, and I guess I can just erase Private Practice based on what I am seeing here. I also can’t stand commercials. I work in broadcast television, commercials are what keep us in business. I am such a traitor. Even when I am home and ready to watch a show as it airs, I’ll do something else for the first 15 minutes so I have the cushion to start the show from the DVR and skip all the commercials.
Happy weekend!!
“The 10 of us” was the spinoff. Eek!
Did you ever figure out what the tantrums were about? Was he just pissed off the thermostat read 85.5?? ;)
People don’t call me either. When they do, it’s all at once. Go figure.
Grey’s was no too much better than Private Practice. You mean they are broken up? WHAT? But, they still hook up? That might make it ok, but come on, haven’t we all been through enough? Get some balls Meredith and grow up.
Sorry, just needed to vent. My dvr watching is precious. It’s good programming or nada!
Today Gavin was throwing a fit while I was getting my face peeled off and so the nurse gave him an alcohol swab and a squishy ball. Hoping maybe he would pass out from the fumes or take a bite of the ball and choke???? I don’t know?
Meredith needs to take a dip into the ocean again. She is so annoying. I don’t know how Christina is friends with her. I think the writers are going to screw it up.
My fav is the office and I can’t wait for next week!! Oh wait. . . I love Danny Taylor so I guess Without a Trace is my favorite so the office is a close next.
Ok so everyone calls me but no one leaves messages on my blog or emails me. Hmmm maybe it is because I have melasma??
numer of times I laughed out loud while watching the Office on thursday…???
I can’t remember because I lost count.
too funny. I love that show.
You are so funny! Jack is obviously working on something big. How would you like to be mastering about 5000 words before you get to be 5 years old? That and learning how to crawl, walk straight and climb on things. Einstein probably was the biggest pain in the ass child ever. Oh by the way your thigh is still one inch thinner than mine, this after working out and dancing my way to a slimmer me. Boo hoo. See you in sewing class.
