This is good.

I was describing Prep to someone recently and remembered how much I liked it.  So I finally broke down and read this book, by the same author.  The idea of reading a book loosely based on the life of Laura Bush did not appeal to me at all.  But I have to say.  I really liked it.  Quite a bit.

This picture and the previous one are both from Jack’s birthday party.  So, yeah, cheating a bit on the project… but I had to share them.

I bought these for my neighbor (long story). And apparently she's on vacation. So I guess I'll have to keep them.

I made an effort today. And by the way, do you like my soap?

Ok.  So this is not at all what I had intended to post for today.  I made an effort today because I knew it would be a tough morning for me.  Yeah, so Teddy needs a helmet.  We met with the specialist and after only a few measurements and some neck exercises and tummy time, she told me that while he is very strong for his age, he definitely needed the helmet.  She gave me one exercise to do with him at home, but pretty much said to do what I’ve been doing.

Today we met with the specialist again, and had is mold done for the helmet.  I was able to get a few pictures of the process… but for whatever reason I wasn’t feeling up to sharing them.  He looked so vulnerable.  PLG.  Seriously.  I know that I should feel so incredibly lucky to have two children… two healthy, beautiful children.  And this is just a tiny bump in the road.  Not a big deal at all.  But I just can’t help but feel like it’s a reflection of my mothering or something.  Like I’ve done something wrong.  And I feel so bad for him.  It is so damn hot down here in the summer and I’m just worried he is going to be miserable.  Poor kid.  Ok enough of my drama and feeling sorry for myself.

So there you have it.  My poor little Teddy spaghetti needs a helmet.  Looks like we’re going to need those flame stickers after all.
