Another list! I bet you’re surprised! And guess what?! It’s national delurking week! So take a second to leave me a comment (all five of you readers out there) and delurk! Ok, so I know I just did the delurking think a little while ago… but I’m still curious.

We are totally not into kid’s music around here. It’s terrible, I know, but I am just not one of those moms that decide, after the birth of their first child, that I’m going to turn over the music selections to my newborn. I was actually in a playgroup with a girl who had a six month old (around the same age as Jack) and they only listened to Baby Einstein or something along those lines, when she was in the car with her bambino. Yikes. That is just not me… but we’ve recently purchased one for Jack. We’ve joined the club. But it’s a little different. Check it out. We’re really liking it.

I’ve been (sort of) in the market for a new hand bag. It’s not that I need one… I love my current one and it’s in great condition, but it’s just not very practical. It’s very heavy, and the handles are too short to put it over my shoulder. So I end up carrying it on my forearm, which is, at times painful because I usually have it stuffed to the max with all kinds of crap (toys, ralphie, a sippy cup… God forbid I actually use the diaper bag). And it’s pretty easy to stuff to the max. Because it’s too small. So I stumbled across this recently and the green is so me. It’s pretty close to my current purse (which is blue… I know, I like a classic look with an unusual twist). But then I also found this! And it comes in green! Ohh but the price tag is a little hefty. Ouch.

Speaking of green… I can’t find them on the internet anywhere, but I just got these in green. I love them. And Jack does too. He was in bed with us one morning (when we were all sick) and he crawled out (still in his sleep sack) and got into the shoe box and put my new shoes on over his sleep sack. Talk about hi-larious.

Well, apparently it’s almost swim season… or resort season. Something I rarely get to partake in. But surprisingly enough, with all the bitching I’ve been doing about the weather, I still don’t mind perusing the swim suits. I love this one and this one (like I’ll ever wear a top like that again – oh wait, I never did in the first place).
-
This is so me. Well, I’d like to think it is… I love the look of a turquoise necklace with a black outfit.

What is it about this time of year that makes me want to redecorate &/or spruce up the joint? I’d love to switch out some of my bland colors in my formal living room for something totally different – like this.
-
That will have to wait because the next room on my list is Jack’s. I’m really fired up to get going on his big boy room. Not because I need to, but really because I’m tired of that room being a big white
emptyspace. Besides that, we need a place to put Jack’s new table! Ok, so wait until you see what I have picked out. So cute!! -
Lastly, I thought I’d share what I’ve been drinking 24/7 lately. We finally have squirt! Woo Hoo! Who doesn’t love that grapefruity zip?! haha!
YES…Pottery barn kids is killing me with their latest catalog. Cuter than average for sure! And I am with you on feeling the need to “spruce up the place,” but I just don’t have the coin to do it the way I would like to. Therefore, “sprucing up” for me entails rearranging items on built-in cabinets. ha ha…
Hey there! It sounds like your new year is off to a kickin’ start.
As for music..Chris found a cool CD that has kids music performed by popular artists. (Rainbow Connection by Jason Mraz and Sarah McLaughlin, La La La by BNL, Mna Mna by Cake)…cool stuff that we can actually stand listening to.
If you send your address my way, I’ll have him make you a CD and send it your way.

The price tag is a bit hefty on which? The Kate Spade bag was cheaper than the Coach. I have one Kate Spade bag and have to treasure it with my life–it’s the only time I’ve spent $375 on a purse. Not sure if you’d like this, but search eBay. I got a Dooney & Bourke bag for about $100 less than if I’d ordered it from the catalog.
Love the solar system bedding set :)
Cute stuff Amanda. I like both purses and love that green. Do you like the mustard color? TJ maxx had a Coach in that color but I couldn’t decide if I really liked it.
Love those shorts……..I think matching ones for the boys would be a hoot! (with white or navy polo shirts).
We have much too similar tastes not to live closer and be able to shop together. I’ve already decided when Charlie outgrows his nursery (or gets kicked out by a younger brother) which has a vintage cowboy theme, we are doing a space room and I’ve been eyeing the stuff at Land of Nod for ages. To add to that I for the first time said I might actually enjoy having a girl next time around because of all the adorable bedding at BPK these days. I am in love with “Claire” set and don’t tell Jon but I expect him to paint striped on the wall as well.
On the music front, we are all over They Might be Giants. Fun stuff for kids, but most importantly, tolerable for Mom and Dad as well. These are also great not so kiddy children’s c.d.’s http://www.musicforthekids.com/ and we’ve also got a neighbor who is a musician and has done a few children’s c.d.’s http://www.johnnybregar.com/, and you can find both of those that I linked to at Land of Nod.
I have a similar handbag from Coach and I love it! It is big enough to use for a short trip diaper bag without being too hefty.
This comment is a post in itself…..
excuse all my punctuation and spelling errors. one of those days…
Consider me delurked, though I occasionally pop up anyway.
I used to love They Might Be Giants in high school, so I was psyched when a friend gave me “No!” a few years ago. That was a family fave for awhile, but is now somewhere in a box in the basement, along with a CD player to play it on…anyway, that may be another good one for you guys on the kid- as well as adult-friendly music front.
Hi, delurking, but come on, you know I have to read during my work free time!
Hi!!! I’m always around even if I don’t always post. I’m glad you posted another list…I’ve been in list withdrawal. I cannot believe how big Jack is getting. Where does the time go?
Can’t delurk, ’cause I’ve never been here before. Hello new bloggy friend!
