Ok.  I have a list.  And I’m a little crabby.  But there’s still a list.

  1. So.  Ok.  The mood swings are a little over the top these days.  And this not only includes myself, but my sweet little Jacker-doodle… he seems to be entering his terrible two’s.  Yikes.  Anyway, more about that later.  So, I’m just about 10 weeks and feeling pretty good – considering the morning sickness I had last time.  This time around only lasted about a week or two, which I’m not sure about because I’m fairly certain that part of it was happening when I didn’t know I was pregnant yet.  I went through a little bit of some crazy dizzy spells/vertigo… which was horrible, but as of now, I’m feeling very good.  Aside from the fact that I’m pretty worn out and well, the mood swings, they’re rockin’.  But that’s how it goes, right?
  2. The cravings have been completely ridiculous this time around.  And seriously, I have to make a list… because it is just ridiculous and I’ll forget how ridiculous it really was after it’s past.  So…
    • Capt’n Crunch with Crunchberries
    • fruit – all kinds, especially apples and blueberries
    • cake – which goes without saying, but this time around it’s yellow cake with chocolate frosting and red velvet… with Jack it was German Chocolate – the whole nine months
    • strawberry milk – although, I’m completely over this and now milk is totally disgusting
    • rotisserie chicken – this one totally creeps me out… all I can think about is Brittany Murphy’s character in Girl, Interrupted… bluck.
    • tuna sandwiches with hot sauce – had this one last time, only this time I want mustard on them too… well, mustard on just about everything
    • cinnamon rolls – I’ve had a taste for cinnamon rolls for over a week now and I haven’t had one yet… although I have had cinnamon raisin bread and cinnamon roll oatmeal, but definitely not the real deal… can you tell it’s bothering me?
  3. Jack.  My sweet little Jack.  Is turning into a crazy monster.  Ok, so that’s a little bit of an exaggeration.  He is definitely entering into the terrible two’s.  Ohhh, I am so over the chasing and the hiding anytime I need to change him, feed him, bathe him, wash his hands, put his coat/shoes on… whatever.  You get the idea.  It’s a struggle to do just about anything and quite honestly, I do not have the energy half of the time to get up and down and up and down off of the floor to pull him out from under the table/put his shoes on/whatever.  And the fits.  Ohhh Lord, the fits.  In the cart at Target, in the cart at the grocery store, where’s RALPHIE?!? – a fit, when it’s time to eat/sleep/bathe blah blah blah… pretty much any time I catch him after the chasing and hiding.  Or when he wants to watch and is not watching Little Einsteins.  And nowadays, watching “Ein-Ein” is all he wants to do.  When he wakes up from a nap he calls for me and as soon as he sees me it’s the first thing out of his mouth… “Ein-Ein?”  “Peese.”  I have grown to hate the Little Einsteins with a passion.  Each and every one of those damn characters.  Especially Annie.  That voice of hers is enough to send me into orbit.
  4. But despite the crazy terrible two-ness we’ve been experiencing lately, he still manages to be over-the-top cute.  He’s very snuggley and he talks like a mad-man.  Lately, he is completely obsessed with clocks and whether or not they are broken… long story.  So every clock his sees… “cock bro-teen!  cock bro-teen!  fits it.  fits it, mama.”  Which can sometimes be rather embarrassing.  I absolutely love when it’s cold outside and he fake shivers and says, “buurn coud.”  He loves music, and cheers when a song comes to an end, “yeah!  song!” followed by plenty of clapping.  And he is always loving and comforting his “babies,” especially Ralphie.  “Oh baby kying, otay baby…” ooh baby crying, it’s ok baby.  While he pats the baby’s back.  Which is totally hilarious, because his patting is somewhat rough and not so smooth.  Each and every pat is very distinct and controlled.  Pat.  Pat.  Pat.  It kills me.

Thank You Easter Bunny

Jack had a great Easter this year… an egg hunt on Saturday, followed by a nice lunch with Grandma, Grandpa, and Great Papa.  Then on Sunday the Easter Bunny came and littered the house with eggs and candy… Jack must have said, “Thank you Easter Bunny,” 37 times.  Too cute.  Then we went over to Aunt Robbin and Uncle Christopher’s house for brunch and more candy.  Now we have more candy than I know what to do with.  Which is saying a lot considering the fact that chocolate is now an official food group for me.  Anywho, here’s a few pictures from our weekend.  And so you know, I can’t take credit for all of them.  My father-in-law took some of them.  Yeah, we were that dorky family with the gigantic cameras following the kid around.  Yes, Grandpa Z, we are camera dorks.  But, hey, at least you made the blog… you’re big time now.  haha!

      Hunting Doh! hi Easter Bunny

Discussing the possibility of sitting on the Easter Bunny’s lap… nooooo! Easter Bunny? She wanted me to sit on the Easter Bunny’s lap, Papa, but I didn’t think it was a good idea… considering how it went with Santa.

Who is this big boy? Daddy! “Woo, I tired.”

Z boys… well, guys or men, whatever. Tired of posing. Happy Easter… nice post in between grandma and grandpa.

More eggs! More Candy! Oh, and here’s a couple more…

We’ve got some pretty huge things going on around here these days.  And my head is starting to feel like it’s going to explode.  So to keep myself in order over here, I’ll tally it all up in list fashion.  Surprise surprise.

  1. As of today, the house is officially on the market.  And we’ve already had one viewing.  One and a half hours, right smack dab in the middle of nap-time.  But I don’t really believe it happened because I couldn’t even tell they had been here.  Ahhh… the beginning of a lovely couple (fingers crossed) of months.  Man, I have a bad attitude already.  We had been planning on putting it on the market in April, but according to our Realtor, we needed to take advantage of “spring break,” so here we go!  Wish us luck… that it’s a quick and painless process.
  2. Somebody pooped on the potty last week (who doesn’t normally do so) and it wasn’t Sophie.  Woo Hoo!!  Go Jacky-poo!  haha!  After I took him from the toilet back to the changing table to put his diaper on he asked to go “more.”  Umm, ok.  So I sat him back on the potty, where he sat back too far and sort of freaked out a bit about falling in (should have used his potty… but we were upstairs) and he jumped off, “all done!”  I noticed a puddle on the floor and tried it again.  But no success.  So he ran off and peed on my bedroom carpet.  Ouch.  Well, hey, at least we got the poopie in the potty, right?  I’m so proud.  I wish you knew how proud I really am.  Oh how I hate poopies these days.
  3. Last but not least – a post in itself…

I’d say it’s positive…

2 home pregnancy tests, one blood test, and an ultrasound has confirmed that we are indeed pregnant!  8 weeks tomorrow.  A little early to share… but I couldn’t wait another day.

We just had a nice visit with my mom for the week.  It was very much needed and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

i ceem

This is the day that Jack convinced Grammy, and Grammy convinced Mommy that two Tofutti Cuties are better than one.

Tofutti Cutie

He then proceeded to “hoed” (hold) it with his feet.  That’s when I made Grammy clean him up.  But seriously, can you see why we caved??  We’re a couple of suckers for that kid.

Getting sleepy

They both enjoyed plenty of snuggle-time.

More snuggling but from a different angle

I’m not sure who loved who more.  It was totally disgusting.

All of a sudden someone has become a total poser.  Even says cheese.

Jack loves his Binky book.  Which surprises me, considering the torture we put him through to get rid of the thing.  Now we just have to remind him frequently of his past.

Man this is getting good… where the heck is that dang binky, anyway? hmmm.

So, it’s quite hilarious to watch him read it.  He knows when to say “NO.”  And for those of you who aren’t familiar with the book, it’s pretty much every other page… and one with three no’s.  Anyway, it’s too cute to hear his little voice, “doggie? nooo… mommy?  nooo… daddy? noo…  NOO! NOO! NOO!”

What is it, Mom? I’m trying to read here.

Ok, so he looks like someone here… and I can’t place it.  Is it me??  Family… help me out here.
